Purchased these because they are slim, knowing that space was limited in the front doors of my car. They made a huge difference over the stock speakers.
The Cross-over was the only item that I had some difficulty installing. The size of it is large, and I had to make an area in a dead space in the door for installation.

I bought these speakers to replace my factory front-door Bose speakers but not wanting to replace my head-unit or factory amp. The Infinity 2-Ohm speakers have been recommended on several forums for my car as the stock Bose are also 2-Ohm and these would allow the amp to drive full power. I chose the Reference series because I didn't have the $$ for Kappas.
The sound quality from these is excellent for this price range. It helps that when I did the install I applied multiple layers of sound dampening material on the outer and inner skins of my doors. This has turned my door into a great enclosure and really helps the mid-bass come out. Since I haven't replaced my rear speakers yet (they're next when I have a few extra $$) I can really hear the difference doing front-to-back fading. These plus the Infinity sub I installed last year have really improved the sound in my car. Now I just need to get the rear speakers and do a lot more sound dampening on the rear panels and floor!
