I don't see what's so special about these speakers, they don't put out good bass at all, they are good quality, nice and clear but I'm not feeling the bass. I have no amp, and if I turn up my Pioneer CD player (which has huge variety of equalizer settings) it sounds like it will rip the speakers apart, I can hear the plastic rattling. If you want some bass in your car, LEAVE YOUR SPEAKERS ALONE, get a good CD player, get an amp and a sub in a box, that's your bass. I am yet to hear a good and loud speaker which creates bass. Please comment if you think otherwise.

Picked up two sets of these and within a month both sets are blown. Running them off Alpine deck power about 15-20w RMS and these are toast. Really disappointed with these Rockfords. Over $100 down the drain. If you like to crank it, these are not the speakers you're looking for. Even with a high pass filter at 80hz, these are blown.

These were the first Rockford Speakers I have ever bought and I am impressed with every aspect of these speakers. These are the clearest sounding speakers out there.

I should have heeded the warnings about size issues in other reviews, but I decided to take a chance after reading only good things about how these speakers sound. While advertised as a 6.5" speaker, these bad boys are actually 7" in diameter. I was unable to mount them properly into the rear deck of my Accord without some serious cutting/drilling/fabrication. It didn't work out for me, but fortunately Amazon's return policy is top notch, so it was worth trying. They looked good, felt good, and seemed to be well constructed, but I never plugged them in. I decided to shoot them back and find something that fits into my stock enclosure (I ended up with some Pioneers that are 6.5" as they claim to be). If you have the extra .5" go for it, otherwise don't waste your time.

I picked these up to replace the stock speakers in a 2006 Toyota Matrix. I would have given these 5 stars, but they were a pain to install. they are a little larger than a standard 6.5in speaker, so i had to get a little creative with the installation. Other than that, these are great speakers. Plan on spending some time adjusting on your head unit. Like it was said in other reviews, the tweeters are loud!
